Course Description
Using one of the computer graphics industry's most widely used software packages, this course will introduce you to animation concepts and introductory techniques. Students will learn the basic tool set and then progress to small projects.

You will be introduced to basic 3D graphics theory as well as practical techniques.
Cogswell alumni and faculty have used this Academy Award winning 3D software package to create films like Toy Story, The Incredibles and Lord of the Rings.

In the final project, you will apply all of the technical skills gained in the course to create a short animation. The process will include concepts, creating storyboards, animation, blocking passes and output. You’ll create characters rigged to interact with their environments and ready to tell a story. The project will be output in a format ready to write to DVD.
